Model Packs increase the number of Amp or FX Models of a GuitarPort, TonePort, PODxt, PODxt Live or PODxt Pro, for a wider variety of tone possibilities. When a particular tone in the library relies on a Model available in one of these packs, you'll see symbol(s) to indicate which Packs: MS (Metal Shop), CC (Classics Collection), FX (FX Junkie), and PP (Power Pack).

The models within the FX Junkie Model Pack are already included in PODxt Live, and offered for purchase to add-on to GuitarPort, TonePort, PODxt and PODxt Pro.

Variax is the uniquely flexibile guitar from Line 6. Our Vetta II amplifier includes a digital connection for the Variax that lets you store settings for both your amp and your guitar in the Vetta II so that when you call up a Vetta Channel Memory your amp and guitar can change sounds together. Vetta II Tones marked with this guitar symbol include this Variax data.

For each tone in the library, you'll see an icon for either a single coil or humbucker pickup. This tells you whether the tone is best for use with a single coil pickup or a humbucker, so you can select the appropriate pickup on your guitar when using this tone.

Attention POD 2.0, Flextone and HD147 owners... Your hardware doesn't do Stomp effects, so you'll hear something different than what was intended. Try increasing the Drive or choose a higher gain Amp Model to get the right sound. The other aspects of the sound should translate as expected, so you'll at least get a great starting place for tweaking.

Hello again. Your depraved malcontent Veritechc here with another totally politically incorrect tone! Welcome to my Hot 3-way!!! You know you felt a bit dirty just reading that. This tone is very simple and was made to demonstrate how easy it is to use three amps live with the Helix. Griggster from The Gear Page said: “What doesn't appeal to me is going from a JCM 800 on one patch, to a tweed deluxe on another, to a matchless on another. That kind of thing is wonderful for recording. But can be nearly un-manageable live. Without your own FOH guy all the time.” Challenge accepted! I literally made this in 5 minutes. The Fathers of the Helix are truly good and blessed by the Gods of Hard Rock. I went to the Amp+Cab blocks and dropped in a Brit 2204, a Tweed Blues Nrm, and a Matchstick Ch1 all with their default settings. I then added my favorite Plate Reverb and a 10 band EQ at the end of the chain. The EQ is there to sculpt the tone for live use and can be set per snapshot. As it sits it’s flat now. That way each person who uses the tone can set it as they see fit. It should be noted that this tone was made totally on the Helix just to show how easy it is to do so. Generally I prefer the Editor. For bonus points, and since I believe that the Variax is a gift to us from the gods of metal, I made it so the snapshots also change the guitar type. See the description below of the Snapshots. Snapshots: Snapshot 1 Brit 2204– Has the Brit 2204 amp, the Plate reverb and the 10 band EQ. It also sets the Variax model to Lester 1 (Les Paul) Snapshot 2 Tweed Blue– Tweed Blues Nrm, the Plate reverb and the 10 band EQ. For this the Variax is set to model to T-model 1 (Telecaster) Snapshot 3 Matchless–Variax is set to model to Spank 3 (Stratocaster). This also activates the Matchless Ch1, the Plate reverb and the 10 band EQ. I use my Helix in the 8 Snapshot/ 8 Stomp configuration but any configuration should work. This patch is also designed to be played through Full Range Flat Response speakers. You may need to adjust the EQ settings and its designed to be adjusted for live use. Thanks for downloading. Please rate it. Veritechc \m/
